Kirah turns 5!!!!

Kirah was so excited to turn 5! We took her to breakfast at Village Inn and Katelyn gave her her birthday presents from us. She got the movie Enchanted and Little Mermaid polly pocket. Then her friends came over and jumped on the bounce castle and opened presents and had cake and ice cream. It was a magical day for her. Before she went to bed she said, " I wish everyday could be my birthday. I had so much fun!" We love our little 5 year old.

Picnic in the Park

Liberty Park is one of our favorite places to go in the summer. We went a little early this year so it was a little too cold to play in the water. We took a yummy lunch and then Rob and I took turns playing with the girls and reading a book. It was fun. Katelyn fell asleep on the blanket. We thought it was cute how tired she was and then she threw up in the car on the way home. She was sick for a couple of days and then Kirah got really sick for a few days and now Rob is really sick. I'm knocking on wood-I haven't gotten sick.

Little Dancer

Kirah is such a cute little dancer! She takes a Jazz/Tap and a tumbling class. Her teacher tells me that she is her best student. I'm such a proud mom! She is fascinated that girls can dance on their tip toes. Someday with lots of practice, she will be one of those girls.

Finally! A new bedroom!

Since we found out we were expecting another baby, we have planned on putting the girls in the same room and getting them bunkbeds. We painted their room purple and green and got Tinkerbell bedding. Kirah thinks she is so big to sleep on the top bunk and Katelyn loves sharing a room with Kirah. They absolutely love it. I'm not so sure I do yet. Kirah wakes Katelyn up in the night when she gets up to go to the bathroom and Katelyn thinks when she's up for the day that everyone should be and she wakes Kirah up. Kirah is just like me in the mornings-don't mess with me until I'm ready to wake up! Katelyn was in a toddler bed before the move but for some reason she's thought that she needs to sleep close to the edge and she fell off every night and then just sat there and screamed for me to put her back in bed. I finally got a bedrail and now she sleeps no where near the edge of the bed. Go figure! I swear if these girls want to age me- they are doing a very good job! I hope soon that they get used to their new room and I will have a couple weeks of good night sleep before the baby gets here! I know I know-I'm in lala land. I LOVE being a mother! I really do :)!

Gardner Village

We love the great weather in the spring and we always try to get outside and enjoy it. We went to Gardner Village as a family and had lunch at Archibald's and then took the kids over to ride the ponies and pet the animals at the Petting Zoo. They loved it! The cute little animals were wrestling with their siblings and they even nibbled on the girls clothes and hair. They thought it was so funny.

Stir-ups

Katelyn figured out what the stir-ups are for at my doctor's appt. Rob got quite a kick out of that.
