Sea World

Our family vacation this year was to Disneyland and Sea World. We went with my cousin Terra, her husband Ben and their son Braxton and my mom and aunt Geina. We started our vacation at Sea World. It was alot bigger than the last time we went and it was really fun. The kids loved it! They have a Seseme Street amusement park area. Here we are with Bert and Ernie.

The girls are taking dance and loving it. They are such girly girls! I love it! Kirah started taking dance with a group of girls from our neighborhood and then her teacher wanted her to be a more advanced class. She is on a competition team and will be going to competitions this summer in St. George and Provo. She loves to learn and I like to watch her concentrate while she is dancing. She is so smart. Katelyn goes with another little girl in our neighborhood and they are having lots of fun. It sure keeps me busy. We do dance and tumbling 3times a week so I already feel like a taxi and we haven't even thrown the third kid into things yet. It's fun though and I'm grateful that we are able to have them in things that they are interested in.

Rob's fashion statement to management at work

So management at work, illegally enforced a dress code on the Air Traffic Controllers. They had to wear a collared shirt, dress pants and no sandals unless they had some type of heel. Rob was upset because the women at work were getting away with wearing capris and flip flops when he had to wear long pants and shoes in the middle of the summer. So in order to make a statement to management. He took a pair of old pants and had my mom hem them into man-pris and bought a pair of gay looking shoes and wore a hawaiian shirt to look ridiculous and went to work. He almost lost his nerve on the way to work but he pushed on. Management tried to give him a hard time but he made a very strong case. Needless to say, the dress code was re-instated soon after. I'm so happy that he does not like to dress this way ever. Also, I am proud that he will stand up for what he thinks is right. He really looks ridiculous but I still love him!

The start of our remodeling

The stairs have always bugged me (what? me get bugged? NOOO!) So we decided to paint the railing black and get carpet on them. Really the carpet was a good idea. Hopefully Rob won't fall down them anymore and get hurt. You think it would be the kids that you have to worry about. Anyway, I love the finished product!

Kirah's 1st day of 1st grade

Kirah wanted to ride her bike to school. Rob didn't tell me she wanted to until it was almost too late. I was rushing her (which isn't uncommon) and she crashed in front of the school and then wouldn't get back on. So she had to walk her bike to the bike rack and she was late for her first day of school. And anyone that knows me, knows that it is not okay to be late. Anyway, she sure looked cute. I hated sending her into the school while she was crying but she had a fun day anyway. I can't believe she is getting so big so fast!

Kymbree walks!!

Kymbree was our slowest walker. She didn't need to learn though because she had 3 parents toting her around all the time. Kirah thinks she is her little mom. Kymbree finally walked at 13 months. Not too long after the other two. Kirah walked 2 weeks after her first birthday and Katelyn did at 11 1/2 months. She looks so cute!!!!

Katelyn did her own make-up and then got on her bike. It was so funny because she had training wheels alot longer than she needed to because we were worried that she would hurt herself because she has no fear. Her training wheels had actually bent upward because she would take such sharp turns. We left them on for a long time just to save her in case she started to tip over. She rode her bike without training wheels at 4 years old. She does a great job. Rob is a good teacher too.
